It’s been a while since my last post. A little busy opening the Lomography Gallery Store in London

Please let me introduce Salvatore! Another great Italian this time shooting analogue works in a polaroid instant:

“The aim of my photography activity is finding a unusual way to capture human perspectives
In my opinion a picture must be communicative. There’s no art without a meaning. My pictures try to tell histories, there’s always a concept which can be found in some particular, or simply looking at the subject in front of my lens.
I work principally on polaroids pictures. There’s something which can’t be described about instant film. They allow you to create pieces which go out from the normal approach to photography. Polaroid is a sort of religion, something which shows a personal attitude. “

Top three cameras: mamiya M645 pro (both with polaroid and film), polaroid EE100 special, yashica fr1

Top three film: polaroid ID-UV, polaroid 669, kodak portra 160 VC

why analogue: I think I can give you a simply answer…it’s a question of philosophy but also of quality. Analogue is the best way in order to reach an excellent quality. Working on a film means to be conscious of its features, to pay attention to all the particulars. Analogue works are as they are and if you are a good photographer you don’t need to do a post editing work. I never edit my pictures…that’s don’t mean I’m a good photographer, but it’s a choice.
